Interesting question...and I'm sure strong opinions both pro and con would burst out in any discussion amongst network marketers. First....for those who do use this approach and are interested in some sources for quality and quantity of sizzle cards....here's a few options: * Vista Print * BizOpGuy * Hot Card Leads * CMG Promotions Now....I have a strong opinion about the use of sizzle cards myself. ========= Sizzle cards work -- but the best results come from putting out MASSIVE quantities of cards. Like at least 50 a day. A hundred is better. But, if you're like I was, you'll find that your time and effort can be better spent on other income-producing activities than littering cards all over town. While a lot of people tell you that you're supposed to just do it "while you're out in town anyway"....the truth is that it's harder to put out 100 cards a day than you might think. You really have to do some littering. And you'll definitely be going out of your way to get it done. And this brings up another point: sizzle cards are almost always being left on someone else's property. So be prepared for a fair amount of irate mall managers, store managers, etc. who call your number and threaten you not to come back with your cards again. It's a real drag on your energy when you find a handful of those messages every day. Finally -- and this might just be me -- I had to stop and really look at myself. Is this what I wanted to be doing for a living?? Leaving little business cards on toilet paper dispensers and paper-towel holders? Taping business cards to gas pumps and ATM machines? Did I really believe that my ideal prospect is the kind of person who would pick up a business card off a bathroom soap dispenser or a soda-machine and call me for details on how they could make a ton of money? I didn't. If you do, then perhaps you won't mind how it all looks. For me, I started feeling like a professional litterbug who wasn't even getting well-paid for it. And you cannot make money doing something that you don't feel good about. But, here's the main thing: it's all just lead generation. And there are TONS of ways to generate leads that don't involve distributing thousands of cards a month. In fact, there are TONS of EASIER ways to generate leads without even leaving your house. So, I threw away my sizzle cards. I threw away my Scotch-tape wrist dispenser. And then I started generating some GREAT quality leads with more ease than I would've been able to imagine previously. This is just my opinion. Don't take my word for it. I'd recommend just doing what you feel is best for your business. You might come to an entirely different conclusion than I did.
